I'm Jerry, a software engineer, YouTuber, and blogger. Every weekend I write about some thoughts, life lessons, and interesting things I came by for the week. I'd love for you to join.

Dear readers,
Apologies for delay on this week’s newsletter, and for not sending one out last week.
Last week, I went on a mini roadtrip up to Monterey Bay. This past weekend, I arrived in DC and am embarking on a east-to-west roadtrip while helping my friend move to a new destination.
Been Ages Since I Took Vacation
While it’s good to be industrious and at work without wasting time, it’s also crucial to take extended breaks to balance it out. Since pandemic started, I had not taken a vacation. And while I’m not quite burned out, I definitely felt the itch to move around and stretch my wings a little.
It’s Refreshing To Be Outside Again
Social distancing. Social distancing. Social distancing.
Wear a mask. Wear a mask. Wear a mask.
I would be lying if I said I’m not at all tired of all the pandemic procedures. While I understand the necessity of being safe for the sake of our physical health, my mental health side is begging me to fulfill desires to meet with people and socialize like pre-pandemic days.
By going on this Monterey roadtrip and being in DC, I feel like I’m finally responding to those desires, almost as if trying to make up for all the time lost. It may be overkill, but I’m still feeling good about it.
That’s about all the time I have to write this. I’ll be on my way now.
